Special Vehicle Permit Application

Pursuant to Special Vehicles Ordinance Chapter 71, the following vehicle types are required to have a Special Vehicle Permit:

• • MOTORIZED GOLF CARTS
•  
  • UTILITY TASK VEHICLES
•  
  • CLASS 1 ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES 
•  
  • MINI-TRUCKS

Items needed to obtain a Special Vehicle Permit include:

• • Completed Application (see below)

  • Proof of Valid Driver's License

  • Proof of Valid Liability Insurance (Policy)

  • Permit Fee of $30 - good for 3 full years

After reading the Special Vehicle Ordinance, please print and complete the first page of the application down to your signature.  The second page lists the requirements for the various types of special vehicles.  Please review the list for the vehicle you plan to permit and make sure it meets the appropriate requirements.  Once these steps are completed, stop down to the Kasson Police Department and finish the process in person.  Please bring your driver's license and proof of valid insurance with you.  We accept cash, check or credit card.  Please note there is an additional fee for use of a credit card.
